We still have some things to celebrate

nikonf3Today is the anniversary of the birth of our nation. Even though there are a lot of bad actions in our history, mostly because we decided to use our good fortune for empire building, I still think there is a lot of beauty and and there are good people.
This is Independence, California. The town is at about 4000 feet and the mountains in the background are in a range lower and higher than 4000 meters. One of them is about 4300 meters.
